Lindsay Forsberg

Lindsay graduated from the University of Iowa in 1998, with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Originally from Iowa, she packed up and moved to Chicago to work Linds profile picas a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) for a number of different Special Recreation Associations throughout the Chicagoland suburbs. As a CTRS, Lindsay provided recreational opportunities for children and adults with special needs and physical disabilities. Running youth camps, leading social clubs, and instructing fitness and water fitness classes were just a few of the many hats she wore in this career.

While working as a CTRS was incredibly rewarding, Lindsay developed an interest in fitness and health and decided to pursue a career in Personal Training. This career choice was unexpected for Lindsay. For much of her life she has struggled with weight. With the help of a good friend and personal trainer, Lindsay worked hard to get in shape and eventually choose to make training her new career. In 2005, Lindsay became a Certified Personal Trainer through the ACE, Spin Certified through Schwinn and Pilates Mat Certified. She opened Aim Fitness Training and began providing in-home personal training and boot camp instruction. She has worked with a wide variety of clients including kids and adolescents looking to lose weight, as well as fit adults looking for an edge in their training. Lindsay is very enthusiastic and passionate about exercise and overall health. Besides boating in the summer and playing with her two busy boys, exercise is her favorite way to spend time. She feels it is important to include her family and friends in challenging and fun activities as it supports a healthy lifestyle and therefore a healthy body.
