The hustle and bustle of running around during the holiday season can be exhausting. It’s so easy to get caught up with such things as shopping, kid’s activities, jobs, and school that we forget about those who may not be fortunate enough to truly enjoy the holiday season.
Yesterday, our friends at the No Frills Fun Run delivered a special check to the Toole family. The Toole’s are this year’s beneficiary. The timing of this delivery is my favorite part since it’s just weeks before Christmas. How cool is it to light up that family’s faces when they learn that they can enjoy their holidays just a little bit more!? Almost brings tears to my eyes and that makes me happy and proud to be a part of that donation.
This particular donation became possible when FITT-RX and Fleet Feet Sports put on a fall fashion show to help jump start their fundraising efforts. We rounded up hot models, booked an amazing DJ, Fleet Feet showcased their amazing shoes and apparel, and we got some delicious food and drinks donated to help make the show go unhitched.
